Platform documentation

Everything you need to discover communities, submit a listing and understand the rankings.

Getting started

TopERLC is a directory for ER:LC Roleplay, Design and Misc communities. Browsing listings, viewing rankings and using the community finder do not require an account.

Open Discovery to browse or search by community name. Select a listing to see its full description and invite link. Check the community's own rules before joining.

Signing in

Use Log in and continue with Google. Sign-in is required to add a listing, vote or boost; Google is the only sign-in option.

If a sign-in attempt is interrupted, return to the login page and try again. Complete Google's account selection before returning to TopERLC.

Adding a community

Once signed in, open Add Server and provide:

  • A community name and category: Roleplay, Design or Misc.
  • A description that explains the community and what members can expect.
  • A valid Discord invite URL.
  • An optional image URL for the community icon.

Submit only communities you are authorized to represent. Public listing content should be accurate, and invite links should be usable. Your signed-in account is recorded as the listing owner.

Choosing a category

  • Roleplay: ER:LC roleplay communities and sessions.
  • Design: Creative and design-focused communities.
  • Misc: Other community types.

Votes, boosts and daily limits

A vote adds 1 point. A boost adds 3 points. You can use each action once per server per UTC day, so using both contributes 4 points to that server.

The allowance is per server, not a single shared daily allowance across the whole directory. Used actions become unavailable until midnight UTC. Voting again, refreshing the page or changing your device does not reset that account's allowance.

Understanding the leaderboards

The home page shows the top ten communities in each category, ordered by score. Choose a category and a period:

  • All-time: Recorded votes and boosts across all dates.
  • Weekly: Activity within a UTC calendar week, starting Monday at 00:00 UTC.
  • Monthly: Activity within a UTC calendar month, starting on its first day at 00:00 UTC.

The arrows let you browse earlier weeks or months. Rank changes compare a community's position with the preceding period. A community without a previous position is shown as new to that comparison. Equal scores use a stable listing creation-date and identifier ordering.

An empty period means no qualifying activity has been recorded for that category and date range; it does not necessarily mean the community directory is empty.

AI-assisted community matching

Open Find a server, select a category or any category, and describe what you want. For example: “A serious roleplay community with organized patrols” or “A design community focused on vehicle liveries.”

The finder uses your request and available community listing information to suggest matches with reasons. It does not create new communities or guarantee that a listing meets your requirements. If no communities are listed, there are no listings to recommend.

Avoid including private or sensitive information. Always review the suggested listing before joining.

Common questions

Why can't I vote?
You need to be signed in, and that action must still be available for the server today. A used vote or boost becomes available again at midnight UTC.

Why did a rank change?
Ranks depend on recorded points and the selected category and period. A weekly score and an all-time score measure different windows.

Does a high rank mean a server is approved?
No. Rankings reflect community participation and are not an endorsement or guarantee.

Where are the platform policies?
Read the terms of service draft and privacy policy draft. Both are clearly marked for owner review.
