Terms of service

A draft framework for participating in the TopERLC community directory.

Draft for owner review · Prepared October 23, 2026. Not yet an adopted agreement. Operator details, contact information and legal provisions require owner approval before this document takes effect.

1. The platform

TopERLC helps visitors discover ER:LC community servers in Roleplay, Design and Misc, and compare community support through voting and leaderboards. A listing or recommendation is not an endorsement of a community.

2. Accounts and participation

You can browse without signing in. Google sign-in is required to add a community, vote or boost.

Proposed account terms: Members should use their own accounts, protect access to them and avoid impersonating other people or communities.

3. Community listings

Proposed listing terms: Submit a community only if you are authorized to represent it. Keep its name, category, description and invite link accurate, and use only content you have permission to share.

Do not submit misleading listings, scams, harassment, unlawful material or links intended to harm visitors. Specific moderation, removal and appeal procedures still need to be approved by the platform owner.

4. Fair voting

Each signed-in member can cast one vote and one boost per server per UTC day. A vote contributes 1 point and a boost contributes 3 points. Daily availability resets at midnight UTC.

Proposed fair-use terms: Do not use automation, coordinated fake accounts or attempts to bypass voting limits to manipulate rankings. A community's position is based on recorded activity, not a guarantee of quality or future placement.

5. Recommendations and external communities

AI matching suggests listed communities based on your request. Results can be imperfect. Review a community's description and its own rules before following an invite link. External communities and services operate separately from TopERLC.

6. Privacy

See the privacy policy draft for the information that the owner must confirm before adopting a privacy notice. Avoid posting personal or sensitive information in public listing descriptions or recommendation requests.

7. Items awaiting owner approval

This draft does not establish an effective date or binding legal provisions. Before adoption, the owner must confirm:

  • The legal operator name and a working contact address.
  • Eligibility requirements, including any minimum age.
  • Content permissions and moderation, suspension and appeal procedures.
  • Applicable law, dispute handling and any liability provisions.
  • How changes to these terms will be communicated.
